Good morning, or midday, or perhaps evenin’ Archer! I’m still in rapid start, and I’ve realized I haven’t been practicing the procrastination tips, so this video came at a great time! Using the BEDS-M technique as a base, I’ve put together in the acronym SMUG-BED, with the addition of the U and G, and put in bit more chronological order. I wanted to know if this checklist might be too large, or if some of the steps aren’t as important as others. Thank you for your time! S-Schedule, prioritizing important tasks first in the day. M-Minimum viable Goal, while scheduling define the smallest step to do. You can update this to be even smaller later. U-Understanding your emotions. (1) You don’t have to run from fear or sadness. (2) Think about the growgained from “getting” to do the task instead of “having” to do the task. (3) Appreciate the little wins and small progress, instead of focusing on if you’ve done the task yet or are doing it perfectly. You can become more aware of your emotions by meditating or more easily, journaling. G-Gamify the process. Try squadding up with friends (or emulating friends using a study-with-me), set a timer for a repetitive task to see if you can still get it done in X time, or play background tunes. B-Burn the boats. Set a serious consequence, and one you can’t back out of, for not doing the task. You have to be willing to pressure yourself for your own growth. You can also do this in the present moment by doing something uncomfortable to where work becomes the appealing option-For example, taking a cold shower or making yourself sit in a chair with no phone if you’re not going to work. E-Environment. When sitting down to work (or earlier) remove distractions (PHONE) and set out materials to make starting easier. D-Distraction sheet/Data collection: Once working, whenever you get distracted log what the distraction was and what caused it. This gives you new data to feed into the Environment step, pointing out new ways you could child-proof your environment. All that’s left now is to apply the checklist 😅

Thank you for the video, Archer! Although I already have heard about the science behind this, it's really nice that you present them in such an easy way. I will use the "baby-technique" today :))

@Archer Newton: Could you kindly make a video about your businesses? I'm tired of soo many scams and make you rich gurus. I believe many people would appreciate that and trust you for advice (also in this area).

Hey Archer, I was just wondering you mentioned in a video with Justin sung about how you were able to try and improve your study techniques incrementally everyday. I was wondering how did you do this? What questions did you ask yourself to measure the effectiveness of the techniques your were using? Thanks for the videos keep it up bro🙌
