YOU HAVE TO DO THIS IF YOU USE THE GOODNOTES APP!
Losing your notes and files is the WORST!
Losing all your journals, diary entries, thoughts, scribble, and pages upon pages of your past is devastating!
So, if you are using the Goodnotes app, make sure to watch this video and do all the tips shared here.
I will be sharing wiith you ways on how I automatically back up all my Goodnotes files and folder.

It seems like you only have the free trial version. You need to purchase the full version to unlock it.

Hi! How do you get rid of the ! icon on the top left corner of your folders? I'm having issues with Goodnotes syncing on the cloud, and the support team has been ignoring my support tickets!

Some ways that you can remove it is to check if your wifi connection if it is OK. Unstable or slow internet connections might cause some syncing issue. Or if this is not the cause, it might be that your iCloud storage space is not enough.

@@6Bpixel Thanks for the response! My wifi works flawlessly, and I've got 60+ gb available on iCloud at the moment. My entire GoodNotes data is 5gb.

Hello, I am writing to you from Iraq and I have been accepted into medical school, meaning I will study medicine. Well, I have a question. I bought an iPad three days ago and I want to download the (Good Notes 6) application. Should I activate iCloud, and since the storage space for it is 5 GB, is it enough or should I buy more?? I have another question, please. I am afraid that my notes and files in the Good Notes application on the iPad will disappear and be erased. What might cause my notes and files to be lost? Will updating or making a ?backup erase my files And thank you ❤.

Hello. 👋🏼 Hopefully this is still helpful… If you are buying a new iPad and just downloaded goodnotes, I suggest that you activate the iCloud. Just an added protection/back up. If the device is new, I don’t think you need to buy additional space for now. I bought mine when I was getting the notification that I need more. 😅 It might be highly unlikely that your notes will be lost but just in case, make sure to always make backup especially for important files every other months or so.

It followed your steps and saw the icon to see if it was downloading but it says not signed in. Where am I supposed to sign in??

Whenever I tap option for drive , window opens up 2 seconds and disappear, that’s why I m not able to use drive , plz help

You can sign in using your settings app. In there, enter your Apple ID and password. ☺️ Once signed in, go to the gear icon in the goodnotes app and enable the icloud. Let me know if this helps or if it is unclear. I can make a short video for you. 💙

When you recover a backup file from Google Drive, is it a PDF or a GoodNotes File? What's the difference between them? I've recently had to restore my backup from google drive and i couldn't get the whole editable files again in goodnotes, just the previous files as pure simply PDF (no even with OCR or any other feature), and as I remember, I did have selected the file format option "Goodnote File and PDF", so i don't know what happened :( What can i do to avoid this in a future situation? Is it possible to keep the whole editable file? Thanks for your attention!!

The type of file (PDF or Goodnotes) depends on the option you have chosen when setting up the backup file. For PDF files, this is the flattened version of your notebooks. Meaning, you can write on them but you cannot edit or erase what was already written when it was backed up. On the other hand, goodnotes file is editable. There was an issue before that the app “works” a lot when creating backup files in PDF format and becomes buggy. And to make sure it doesn’t happen to me, I only use the goodnotes file format for the automatic backup. And to add an extra protection, I do manual backup (both in PDF and Goodnotes file format) from time to time. ☺️ Hope this helps! 💙💙

Hello! And congratulations on being accepted into a medical school! 🎉 For the iCloud, I suggest that you activate it as soon as possible. For now, it is ok to not buy extra. Just buy when it is (almost) full. To make sure that you don’t lose any of your notebooks, turn on the automatic backup and from time to time, make a backupcopy manually. ☺️☺️
