Folks, this is not in the manual but there is a hole above the rear license plate under the chrome trim. It is actually a key slot. Insert and turn the key. Walah! The trunk opens.

On a1999 Jaguar try looking at the model plate on the back to the right of the license plate for a little hole. This model says Vandex Plus. The key hole is to the left of the V

I cannot seem to find that keyhole that opens the trunk .can you give me a better idea where it may be located? I've looked everywhere above the license plates under the Chrome I do not see a keyhole at all could you please help me

What fuse did you have to replace I think I blew my fuse yesterday while trying to get power to mines to get in the trunk now car has no power

If it’s got a key fob, then there’s an emergency panel NEXT to the trunk release button. Take the emergency key from the fob and open the trunk.

U can open it with the steel key inside of ur remote put it inside door handle ( remove the cover first ) opposite of driver side

So I am trying to get to the strips to pull down the seats, but i cant get the part you sit on moved. Does anyone else have this problem. It is really impossible to get between the seats. Thanks for any help. i must have blew the fuse

Is this for real? I have an XF, not an XJ but I find it hard to believe that the XJ doesn't have a manual trunk lock like my XF does. Check your keyfob people before doing all of this

Instructions weren't that clear especially with where the fuse go in the hood with the positive and negative

You don't know much about the jaguar! because If just Jack the car up from the side started is and huck the jumper cable to starter power and one on ground trunk get open with remote easy! Because starter positive wire straight connected to the battery
