Trish I grew up in Richmond Va . Thalhimers and Miller & Rhoades were our favorite stores. I was so sorry to see both stores gone. When my sister and I would go shopping we always always visited the makeup counters. I am sure the ladies knew we had no money but we did love to look and on a few rare occasions they would give us make up samples....oh how exciting that was! And we could get perfume out of the fountain! So chic.....I miss those old family owned stores. So elegant and beautiful.
