Beautiful job! I did the same thing when I had to move out of my remote art studio in Oct 2018. Using my work tables and industrial shelving units, I created 3 rows of storage from entrance to back wall (like library 'stacks) with 2 aisles in between - like a 'W' shape. Large plastic tubs, bins, and bankers boxes are stacked on the shelves and tables. Many of my rolling carts are in the aisles - so I can roll those out of the way when I need to access stuff in the back. Everything is well labeled. It works great for me. I 'go shopping' there instead of to the store when I need art supplies. Works so well that I was able to clear a huge 6' space on a table for my hubby to use. He needs to store 400 large art posters FLAT that he expects to sell for his railroad group. Love your channel.

LOVE this! Please help those of us who have the wonky closet space under the stairs! It gets lower as it goes back. To get to anything in the back you have to pull out every single thing in front of it.

The prices have gone up during the pandemic..... make sure the poles are 1" in diameter!!!! Some companies have tried to keep the cost down by making them thinner - those are NOT recommended at all! :)

Having had a garage roof leak and flood our garage plastic storage boxes with lids saved so much of our stuff over the flip lids or cardboard boxes even plastic .drawer sets. Look great might have to adapt to our garage.

Our storage shed is much tinier, but I put a shelving unit in there to make everything easily accessible. I like everything to have a home, so i know right where to find it.. I am gradually getting my husband to understand that, though he can't find anything without my help, even if I tell him exactly where it is. Must be a guy thing.😊 but ya gotta love em.

I’m going through my home trying to clean (read minimize and put like thing’s together). So thanks for the tips today. I think this will be a great series. It is really useful to see how you can make the most efficient use of a space without an exorbitant budget. It’s weird hearing you talk about the heat over there. So far, July in the UK has been like October; I had to put the heating on a few times 🥶. I love your videos, you are my favourite KZfaqr 🥰

Hey Norrine I want to revisit a label idea here for the storage bins that you aren't able to see through take a Ziploc bag and an index card with a sharpie and write what's inside of the solid colored storage bin and place it on the end facing out and then u know exactly what's inside without opening the storage bin

I lay every thing out, take a picture, then put the contents in the plastic totes. I make a print of the picture, put it in a sheet protector, and then tape it on all four sides to the top of the tote. That way I know that one special item I'm looking for is in that tote.

Wonderful! We're in the process of buying those shelving units, one at a time to spread out cost, so we can line one wall in the utility room with them. It's where I keep all of our pantry items because the kitchen is a postage stamp.
