It is really easy to be addicted to collecting ribbon. The patterned ones have personality. It is easy to relate it to a celebration with gifts wrapped in ribbon. A smiling happy thought. There is a down side is there being such a thing of having too much because there are always different versions. Collecting flowers is the same. So many colors and types. My husband purchased shelves for me with bins. A wonderful gesture. I find though that looking for things is difficult. I have never done crafts before but a friend suggested wreaths and online tutorials. My husband's painted our main area and I have beautiful paintings created by my mom and son. I wanted to add to the room using colors which coordinated with them. I loved the first one I did. The pandemic came so I allowed myself to go to Dollar Tree at quiet times. Now need to get busy using my stock. Can buy the supplies quicker then using them. The lock downs began just shortly after I retired which meant alot less socializing so it helped me like therapy. Watching you on utube is like visiting a friend.😂

I have a ribbon problem, too! 😂 Great job, Hubby! It was a great idea making the shelves tilted just a tiny bit so the ribbon won't roll off. I need to actually clean out and reorganize my craft room so my husband can build me shelves. I showed him this video. I also plan to do something similar to what you did with your florals, too, using the Dollar Tree garbage cans.

Wow now that's ribbon organization! I am a ribbon holder to. I love ribbon. I probably wouldn't have to buy anything for a few years. I've never paid full price and I bet 98% of what I have I bought it at 90% off. So why not stock up at those prices. That way I can keep the cost down on my projects. I'd love to see your craft room. Love your new crafting area! Your husband is as creative in his way as you are in yours! How fortunate for you both. Speaking of ribbon addiction, i live in an area where there are several thrift stores. People donate leftover craft supplies for these places to sell to support their causes as in ribbon. Aside from ribbon from the usual places such as Michaels and Hobby Lobby, I go to these places and collect ribbons and other things as well. Over the years, i have found numerous rolls of ribbon that was popular back in the seventies....the stuff that i always thought was so pretty....not wired, but still so pretty and for only a dollar only a dollar or so. (I am talking huge rolls) I sometimes find scraps of 2 or 3 feet, but its so much fun looking and you never know what you may luck up on. We have a local Hospice store and that's a good place to visit.

Oh Kathy, I’m so happy for you getting your own craft room! It’s very exciting isn’t it? My hubby also very lovingly built my craft room too a couple of years ago. But at the beginning of the year, I took a couple months to really organize my room. Hubby built me another wall of shelves. I get teary eyed when I think about how much he loves me to do all that for me! My little Buddy lost his recliner 😂 but I did put a dog bed in there for him. Does Cocoa enjoy being in your new room? Years ago I had dowels on the wall with ribbon on them. What a pain to get at the ribbon in the center. The ribbon would have to all come off than be put back on.
