In this video I want to talk about how to overcome fear of painting denim jacket. Many people afraid to paint their clothes because they afraid to ruin them. And especially it can be so scary to paint on denim jacket because denim jacket is quite pricy so you don't want to ruin it making some painting mistake in the process. So I want to give you some tips on how to approach painting on your jacket properly, how to reduce the risk of ruining it, and what is the biggest mistake beginners make because of this fear of ruining piece of clothing.

first you should search for other artists and see how much they charge for handpainted clothes.Because when you don't have a recognisition and you are not a popular brand or artist , you should start with an average price on the market. And then once you got an attention and you feel that people are ready to pay more , you can start slowly to raise the prices

Hi Daria. Thanks you for all the tips, I just finished painting a denim jacket and your channel really helped me. One question. Once you finish a painting, do you heat set it with an iron or process it some way? To make sure it's washer friendly.

Don't your paint have instructions on it? I didn't come acress a paint that doesn't have tgat instruction

@@wizamoonstone Yes and no. The packaging does provide some instructions, but very brief and kind of vague, it just says to let it dry for 3 days and that "you can accelerate the process with heat". I was hoping for something more detailed and precise, particularly on the "heat" part. What I've been doing for a while now and works every time is to let it dry for 24 hours and then heat press it with an iron on the opposite side, using the appropriate heat setting for the particular fabric I'm working on.
