How long have you been smoking your pipe? What kind of tobacco do you like? What do you think are the best pipes for smoking English Mixture? Favorite brand ? Best brand ?
@Bishopspipes Жыл бұрын
Pipe smoking is not a hobby. It’s far deeper than that. A craft, at minimum.

As a new pipe smoker, I find that ribbon cut is the easiest for me to pack well. I kind of feel like I started off a little spoiled as the first tobacco I smoked in a pipe was The Haunting by Warped and now I judge everything by a product that is no longer available. Lol.
@dragonsofthesky74599 ай бұрын
What's the difference if you have a different kind? I'm new too. Like is the Pirate one and the Maple Street both "normal" or ribbon cut? They both come in today. Hopefully I don't have a lot of extra steps I don't know what to do haha
@ALEEN5179 ай бұрын
@@dragonsofthesky7459 I am unfamiliar with either of the ones you mentioned. Ribbon cut was the easiest for me to pack in the beginning. But now I prefer cake and flake over ribbon cut.
@dragonsofthesky74599 ай бұрын
@ALEEN517 I smoked both last night. The Maple was better at first, but long term the Pirate Cake was better. So, I would say I agree, overall Cake is better. I'm still getting bad tongue bite tho and can't figure out why

@@dragonsofthesky7459probably smoking too fast, of its too moist. if its a pressed cake that might be too bad unless u want to crumble the whole thing and dry it out. i live wheres its humid and i have to relight a couple times

to be honest, you can use this packing method all the way to being a veteran smoker.

Yes you can. Many call it the "delayed gratification technique"

Would you recommend a lighter ? What is.the one you use? Are the torch lighters better?
@Smokingpipes6 ай бұрын
It's recommended to use a soft flame for pipes as to not damage the pipe. Many use torch lighters for cigars.

it looks like a “im corona old boy” i have one, but the more classic body design. quite pricey, but very nice. mind you u need to clean it and replace the flints, but it’s a heirloom piece really. you can have a similar lighter made by kiribi.
