This Part 1 of How to Paint A Bathtub Yourself. In this video series we cover how to prepare and paint a bath that has already been painted before.
If the previous paint is peels off easily then you'll need to strip it off completely. You can use a paint stripper or a sander. Be careful, if you use a stripping agent, have the proper protection. Like a carbon filter mask and proper ventilation. Never leave the bathroom door closed. Always read the safety instructions on any stripping agent label.
If the bath was painted by a professional bath refinisher then you can sand off the areas that are peeling.
