I've seen Ruby-throated hummingbirds around here; but, they tend not to stay still long enough for me to take a picture. I think this is a really nice painting and you have captured the sparkle without using any iridescent paint.

Love to watch how you colour your drawing. It is like magic! Once you add colours the hummingbird is 3D, it is alive! Thank you for sharing.

I tried this little bird! I'm still totally new to watercolor. And it was only my second bird painting. It's for my Dad for Christmas. I'm pretty proud of it, and so are my super artistic friends. ❤️

Hi, there, Maggi here, one of your biggest fans. I now have ALL of the colors you use in this painting. But guess what, I need to go out and get a 1/4 inch flat brush. I'm going to get one tomorrow. Can't wait to try this. I hope I can keep my hand as steady as yours (doubtful). Perhaps I need to velcro my arm to the table so it can't wobble!
