My tuxedo cat and I thank you! Now I can attempt to create his portrait. Also, I really appreciate your teaching method. I like how you face the camera while showing the painting area. It's much more like being in an in person class. I learn better when i can see the teacher's face. Great video!

How I miss my loving Tuxedo cat. Your dark long hair friend reminds me of him. Mine was a very long haired one, with a wide fluffy tail and similar eyes. His ashes are in an urn along with another cat’s on my late husband’s night stand table. I had stopped painting after my beloved spouse suddenly passed away, I set up everything in my. New studio including my paints but, lack inspiration. I think I will try this of my little one. Thank you.

I did, and I found FLuid Cold Press Paper is a much cheaper alternative that furs out well. Also, Arches Cold Press 140 lb furs out well as long as you use lamp black

I recommend using Arches cold pressed or some other 100% cotton cold pressed paper.

What do you use for the eyes and nose? A pen? Also is blue typically what’s used for the highlights of white fur? Not grey.

I like to use blue in black fur as I think it's artistically interesting looking. For the smaller black details I just use a size 0 brush with lamp black paint
