As much as I love his paintings and how I admire his technique, Sadie is my favorite part.

I really enjoy all the tips. I will be sure to watch tons more of your videos. Maybe one day I will be almost as good as you, but it will take tons more practice. I liked the video on trees.

Can you please list the colors you mentioned in this film? Do they go across the board if I buy just one brand? I am thinking of Winsor & Newton

Hello, what brushes do you recommend for beginners and what brand? Also, what brand of paint is best/easiest to work with? Any links you can direct me to? Thank you!

@amantoske For oil painting? Clean brushes the best you can with solvent and a rag first. Then soap (I use a cake of Ivory brand) and water. I'll rub the bristles directly into the wet cake of soap, then rub the bristles into the palm of my hand. I'll do this about 3 times until the lather is completely pigment-free.

Hi, I just wanted your opinion, I would like to begin painting but i'm not exactly sure where to start. Should I use Watercolours, Oils, or Acrylics? Thanks - Ryan

Hey ken, im not sure if you will read this, but i just started watercolour and when i paint my paper brings up little bobbles of soggy paper? Is this because its cheap, or what? Also i was wondering if Winsor and newton artist paints are any good? :) Thanks very much!

I could only afford a little palette of it at Michaels. It has 12 sheets on it.. Haven't tried using that though... Where would I find one?? Thank you so much for your help! :DD

If you want to dabble, then it really doesn't matter where you start- but get good quality products! It is best to just keep working with what you have- paint every day & take pics of your work. You can get really nice washes & even high detail with watercolor. Acrylic dries really fast, unless you cut it with medium; oils take a much longer time to dry and you will need really good ventilation. Also, think about the scale- large pieces or small? Your budget may be a factor here as well.
