OMG Please more star wars legion vids! these are so good. (with a bit less time lapse - look at how sorastro uses editing instead of time lapse) The TX 130, barc speeders, LOVE to see you do the AT-ST, great possibilities there. B2's would be fascinating, Dewback could be awesome, Tauntaun, the airspeeder, the rebel laser cannon, STAP when it comes out, how about the barricades? definitely not enough interesting guides on painting barricades, or the upgraded bases, crashed escape pod, awesome, crashed AT-ST, and the bunker. I may actually splurge on a bunker with an awesome video...

Hey buddy, it's all about mixing little amounts in. If you want to make it more simple you could stick with one of the additional 'crazy' colours as I don't think the variety that I use is needed in retrospect. Just pick whether you like the top or bottom half of the miniature that I did the most and either go cool or warm😊 Thanks so much for your support! Hope you're enjoying the brushes!

Hey, just some feedback; I really don't like those timelapse shots, they're too quick to follow what is happening. I think it would be better if you showed the effect you are trying to achieve each time you brought in a new colour, and how you decided where to apply it, before then showing a couple of seconds of you applying it. Then cut to the after shot, and rinse and repeat. That said, i love the end effect, i'll be trying this on my new Astra Militarum Vakyrie this week!

Thanks so much for the tip dude. 😊We've taken this feedback on board. You should see the difference in our more recent videos. You can use whatever you like, especially as they're so many stages going on top of it. If you use something light though, that'll obviously affect your first paint coat as it's gonna behave very differently than it did over black, the stronger the colour the less it'll be affected. 😊🤞

@ArtisOpus

Hi Carnat, it is our dampening pad, it allows you to involve a small, reliable amount of moisture in the painting process, which helps paint exit, care for your brushes, and avoid caking/ 'thick/dry' drybrushing :). It is available from our store, and comes as part of the Series D set.

Awesome tutorial! :) I've been meaning to reproduce your result on my AAT although I seem to be missing something. I am using cheap makeup brush so it might be that. Also I am using my standard wet palette which probably doesn't make much sense with dry brush technique (both stippling and classic). The effect is that my color transition is much less smooth than yours - there is this speckle pattern which is quite clearly visible. I have tried a classic, plastic palette as an alternative to wet palette but my paint tends to dry very quickly. In your case it seems like you can use your paint forever ;) Is it somehow related to the palette type you are using? Or to the fact that you always mix in some water, because you dip your brush in the sponge?
@ArtisOpus
@ArtisOpus 3 жыл бұрын
Hey dude, I'd skip a wet palette entirely, it doesn't fit with the technique, and you're probably using paint that's too wet, I take my moisture from the brush (in tiny amounts) using the dampening pad, it's more predictable, and doesn't lead to 'clagging' which sounds like your issue. I'd definitely consider picking up a set of Series D, they're designed for this technique (by me :)) and suit it perfectly, they also last incredibly long, so you'll get your money's worth!

You need to slow the timelapse parts down. Double the time they take so we can actually see what you are doing. This video felt like "So just stipple this yellow on, and then finish the rest of the model". I really have no idea how you achieved that nice blue orange and pink effect. Seems like a critical component of this result.
@The-Mstr-Pook
@The-Mstr-Pook 3 жыл бұрын
Even on playback speed 0.25 your going too fast to see what you're doing and how you are mixing. I've never painted miniatures before and am trying to understand the process. Never did art class so the concept is alien to me. Like painting a brown vehicle with blue and purple and using lollypop pink.... What the Heck? That's why vids like this are so important, but they're not helpful if you can't follow the process. How then can one learn?
