In this tutorial I show you how to paint the Infantry side of the Cadian Combat Patrol Box So you can get them ready to play Warhammer 40,000
This is an easy to follow guide that uses Citadel products to achieve fantastic looking miniatures, even if you’re new to the hobby.

Wow. I hope you do find your way into the hobby 😁 Just know these Astra millitarum miniatures May not be the most beginner friendly miniatures. They are very small with a lot of detail. Don’t start by buying tons of stuff. If you can you want to go to your nearest warhammer store and ask to try out painting a miniature. After that maybe get a box of shocktroops and start with that. Get the paints and tools set and the base colours. Don’t worry about washes or highlights to start. Get use to painting. Focus on applying paint to your miniatures and being neat. That will honestly give you the best start. The. You can slowly add shades and highlights to them 😃

Wow for me one of the best how to paint Cadian Infantry guide. Painting a Rogal Dorn with your painting style would be nice or the new Tyraniden models with the Behemoth painting scheme.

Hi, really interesting and inspiring video, thank you. I like (and appreciate) how you take things right back to basics, keeping it really simple. Oooo thank you. I’m glad your enjoying the content. As long as you work on the techniques and skills I always talk about in each tutorial you’ll be well in your way to golden demon. After that it’s just the case of choosing what colours to use. Paint and Highlight lots of Space marines. Also make sure to try out painting a new detail with every project. Perhaps it’s robes or you want have a go at glazing. We can easily get over whelmed if you try and make everything perfect straight away. Focus on making a certain thing as good as you can and then move on after you have practiced enough

Box art standard perfection id say mate! My Cadia Stands is tood infront of me now. Its built. Its primed - BUT my existing Cadian army is Castellan Green. I tried out a few test bits on things along side Zandri Dust and I do prefer Vulcan Green I think - but can't bear having all my new stuff being a very different green to the old! The new Heavy Weapon team base sizes aren't too hot in my eyes - purely as I have 18 x H.W. crews on the old large 60mms. And they are bases I put a lot of love into customising each one!

Thank you. you do your hobby how you want to. I'm just here to help you. the vulcan green is a nice colour but personally I would use Waaagh Flesh. it's all a personal choice. the steps and techniques are the same even if the colours arn't. keep goin :D

Hi! I like to watch your tutorials, because these are huge help for me. I would like to build an astra militarum army, starting with the combat patrol. But I have some question. Is it problem if I not glue the miniature to the base before painting? May I paint some parts separetly from the body in this kit or I can build them?

If you find it easir to keep your miniatures off the base and sub asseblies then absolutley do that. I fully built these because there are so many of them and it can get really over whelming having so many sub assemblies

At 4:15 you said start with Ushabti Bone, however your pot was Screaming Skull.

My only concern is by the time I found this video, all my shock troops were put together. 😅 so the highlighting is gonna be a pain in the but or painting the grandes and leather pouches on their chest since their guns cover most of their chest. Is there something you’d recommend as a work around past that? 😅

Your going to be painting so many of these guys that I would probably fully assemble them anyway rather than sub asseblies. In the tutorial I talk about just leaving the head seperate which helps getting to those areas. It wasn't so bad either getting to those areas whilst painting so don't worry too much. If you are struggling to get to an area, I'd just leave it, as long as the base colours are there. Your proabbly not gonna be able to see highlights anyway if guns and such are in the way. Some of my choices for sub assemblies are made for me to be able to show how to paint them more easily on camera so may not be neccesary otherwise. Just get stuck in, we learn more whilst doing

You made them look so good, I’m even gonna follow your salamander guide for the intercesors. I think in lore and roleplay the salamanders fighting alongside the guard couldn’t be more perfect!

@@TableTopReadyKZfaq oh gosh, I have normal glasses already from being blind. I was actually looking into getting one of those adjustable arm magnifying glasses that has a ring light to help me see. Amazon has a nice one that’s fairly cheap.
