I started watercolor just about a year ago. My mother passed away and I was also recovering from a broken bone. Watercolor was my therapy of sorts. KZfaq my classroom. First time that I have joined you with your cosmos tutorial. A great lesson , you explain it so perfectly and demonstrate so easily. Watercolour is wonderful but I find can be quite daunting at times. Love your tutorial and this painting is soooooooo beautiful. Wow 😲 only three colours . You are such a great. teacher . I really liked this, being a beginner myself... I use too much water, so when you tell us, the paper is dry, or damp, or very wet, while you are adding pigment, that really helped me. I watched the tulip video first, REALLY helped me too!

If I ever, ever get this good, I will love it. Right now it’s just a little frustrating when my work is so ametuerist (sp?) and I don’t think that’s a real word lol. Just so lovely! I’m going to keep working on it. Thank you for your time and sharing your gift.

Thank you so much. I have not been lucky painting flowers because I seem to struggle with shadows and shades for shadows. I observed your technique and it looks so beautiful and easy. I must try and again and again. Will see you again

Thanks Sylvie for your comment. Shadows are scary at most times, but even more so on beautiful, delicate flowers. Just make sure your painting is dry before you paint shadows. Keep practicing and enjoy :)
