The secret to painting sky and clouds is the correct shades of blue (many) and the blending of the many shades of clouds colors. You nailed it.

Thanks :-))) And yes - And not to forget the volume in the clouds, very important, a lot of people forget that unfortunately.

Thank you Debbie :-))) Clouds look so easy but they are not really THAT easy when the need to look realistic unfortunately. And yes, keep on practicing, that`s the most important part of learning to paint/fine tuning your abilities.

Ich könnte dir wieder stundenlang zu gucken 😊 deine Wolken sind wieder super geworden 😍😍 Das hast du einfach drauf und ich habe es von dir gelernt 😁😁 Tobi, für mein neues Projekt: Welche Farben würdest du mischen, um ein richtig saftiges von der Sonne angestrahltes Grasgrün hin zu kriegen? Ich kriege es einfach nicht hin 😅

Vielen Dank :-)))) Ich nehme für meine Grüntöne Phthalo Blue und Lemon Yellow - das ist so die Ausgangsbasis. Wenn man dann noch andere Nuancen braucht kommen halt noch andere Farben rein (Raw Sienna, Cadmium Red etc.)

May I know if you wait for the underpainting to be fully touch-dry first before building up new layers? Thanks!

The underpainting needs to be completely dry - BONE DRY ;-))) Really, better wait another two days before you start to build up another layer...this might lift off the old layer when you dive in too early. Tip - always have 3, 4 different paintings you can work on at the same time, this really helps to stay productive and you can give the paintings enough time to let them completely dry.

Ach und letzte Frage, welche Farbe würdest du nehmen, wenn du eine weiße Hauswand malen würdest, die von der Sonne angestrahlt wird und richtig leuchtet? Rein weiß, oder etwas gelb mit rein?

Da sollte schon n bissl gelb mit rein, weiß allein wirkt kalt/steril. Außerdem gibt es praktisch keine rein weißen Farben in der Natur - da ist immer auch ein bissl was anderes mit drin. Hauch Schwarz, etwas braun, rot etc.

@@brennerfineart Das hast du total schön geschrieben 🥰🥰🥰 und schön ist es auch, wenn man sich in den Bildern verlieren kann, für manch andere ist es nur ein Bild, und wenn wir darauf schauen, dann sind wir dort und riechen das Meer und hören die Brandung und spüren die Brise... 😍
