Hi everyone and welcome back for another acrylic painting tutorial. In this video I’ll be showing you step-by-step how to paint this lady walking with an umbrella in the rain. This is an abstract painting using only black-and-white and a few brushes on an 11 x 14 Canvas.

I saw you did this long ago, so I painted 4 of these, months ago. Sold same day. I did however change up my trees a bit. And her legs were the rain also. Turned out so cool. Sooo THANK YOU

Wow!! This is gorgeous.😍 Long cool woman in a black dress. The white reflection on the umbrella, I would attest that it's actual rain cascading down. The sweep of the reflection as she walks. The trees that almost seem to glow. Everything about this is stellar. Bravo, Joni!! Your hard work, your skill set is phenomenal. This is so quick! I really enjoyed this. Could I do this and just add a pop of color to the umbrella? If I paint it red could I still do the white rain droplets on the umbrella? Would that still look good or no?

I used to paint multiple pieces a day (long time ago)… now I paint one and sometimes finish them in 2-4 days depending on the piece. Thanks Gwen 😊 I’ll have to create some more animal tutorials soon and include a torty shell for you.

She's a professional. I stop an restart the videos to catch up with her. Mine are not carbon copies of hers but my own expression of her creations. Usually takes me twice as long, but still very easy and satisfying. Try it for yourself.
