Thanks Toby for this little refresher. I loved your 10 day course and bound my pages into a little book. I had to send to England for waterproof fountain pen ink but am happily using a Lamy now.

Nice one. A gel roller and water brush can make for some great sketches. Speaking of regular inks: From time to time I'll use my pen that has Diamine Earl Grey (water soluble) for quick shoreline rocks, ancient wall ruins, or mountains. Love the color it turns when wet. Also the lines disappear should you want them to do so. A lot of grey & dark inks have secondary colors hidden in them. Such fun. Correct. Urban sketching doesn't require a lot of money. Too many people buy too much and then decide it's too expensive to continue. You don't need much. Two pens, a small tin of paint, 1-2 brushes, a napkin, and some water. 😊 Maybe a pencil. Of course a WC sketchbook of some sort.

Great video, Toby. The difference between the 2 chapels was interesting. I picked up Micron pens. I have bought a few budget fountain pens, but they haven't worked well. I enjoy the idea, though.
