You say the video is too long. It is never TOO LONG for me. It is so relaxing to watch, just like the late Bob Ross with his paintings. Relaxing while I learn how to paint. Just wished you showed everything. But as always: great video, loved it!

I wanted to thank you. I used to get visible airbrush splatter whenever I used near white colors. The last time I airbrushed I mixed the paint in a plastic piece, using only airbrush thinner to thin down, and I did not have that issue. I had always mixed in the pot with both water and flow improver previously. Watching you helped solve my issue. Thank you.

Oh my god, that was like a dream come true. Amazing. Superb mini. Glazes galore. Cool armour. NMM. Verdigris. OSL. This had everything!! Stunning stuff. And for me, your explanations were much improved e.g. when you explained what you were doing when painting the face. Thanks! As a suggestion, could we get a close up when you hit the armour with little stipple and scratches, to appreciate the technique. Or when you do the face. Just a thought.

Many thanks and gratitude for your efforts!

Thank you so much for another fantastic video ! Your paint job on this mini as well as the intellectual process behind it are mind blowing and jaw dropping !!! And again, as a lame beginner (with a huge hunger for learning and gathering info on minis painting though), I feel ashamed for pointing out at a little detail : A magical fire is still a fire, imho. In this video as well as in your "EVOLUTION CR PLUS / How to paint purple", you put more highlight on the tip of the flames. To me, more highlight is required at the bottom or center of the magical fire source and darker tones are required on the tip of the flames. Unless magical flames behave like optical fiber ! Who knows ? ... :-D ;-) Please keep on feeding us with your brilliant videos !

At first it was like "I can do this, but it isn't good enough. How do he proceed in the next steps?". And then "Wow, that looks amazing. Think I have to rewatch it!". Sometimes I wonder how you decide with paints to use. Like when you put red, purple, green, yellow and dab it here and there xD Down to experience and preference I guess. As a sidenote, when you used the wet palette, the uppermost paints in it reflected so much light it was hard to discern the colour. But great video nonetheless!

When shading the model for the first time with the sepia ink mix, you comment that the sepia ink has a satin finish. However, you then wash and glaze the armour surfaces. Do you go back afterwards with satin and matt clear coats to provide the appropriate finishes?
@AngelGiraldeZ
@AngelGiraldeZ 4 жыл бұрын
Ink a satin finish but if you mix it with Model Wash or other range ,you get a matt finish. When I painted the armour, I "played" with the effect, satin and matt :)

I'm brand new to the miniature painting scene but have shit of background in srt .. obviously this is way above a beginners level, but how important is a airbrush with minis ? Could this same mini be done without an airbrush ?
@AngelGiraldeZ
@AngelGiraldeZ 3 жыл бұрын
An airbrush is always a great option to reach some techniques that are hard to do with a brush. You can achieve smoothness with less paint, better transitions and some great shades. But, when i started to paint a lot of years ago i didn't have one, so... .everything is possible! :) If you purchase one, you will never regret. Is a great tool for painters.
