How to Paint Primer Base and Clear - Three stage application
In this video we demonstrate the three-stage application process of painting Primer, Basecoat and Clearcoat at the Anest Iwata UK training centre of excellence. We will discuss what spray guns we are using and their set ups such as W-400 WBX for Primer, LS-400 for Basecoat and WS-400 for Clearcoat and how split nozzle technology helps combat many issues the everyday painter may face. Through each stage of the application process, we also explain what signs to look for with regards to finish and applying technique.

People think painting is just put the paint in the gun and go for it.for some that may be true-but when you delve into it on a technical basis-there are so many variables involved in the craft..I have 4 Iwata SuperNova Guns and absolutely love them.I really enjoyed this video..very well done.Thankyou

I can tell u from experience I been to one of those training centers when the instructor had the perfect conditions inside the booth there was still orange peel in paint and clear he was a pro I do not know that but if u got the talent u can still get a good paint job from a conventional spray gun it's not the gun it's the painters technique and experience yhea gun will help to but if u have a 1000 gun and painters Inexpierenced u know the results

Using a down draft you always start at the bottom of panel and work UP and let the OVERSPRAY fall on wet product , start at the top and you have dry ass overspray you are spraying over and it looks like you painted over sand , been and PPG Automotive refinish tech for 44 years and no matter what type booth you are in you always let your over spray land on WET product so you dont have a dry ass paint job! Been using Iwata for over 20 years now , and they all served me well. Great guns! I tested the SuperNova's a year before they were put in to production ( wonderful guns) and gave my input, only one thing I didnt like is they could have downsized the gun 25% for my small hands as I never switched to them from my W-400 's and my LPH-400's they are just easier to use!

I have A W77 with fluid tip N°22 which is supposed to be 2mm and actually is 1.7mm and a old Wider 85 11S and it says 1.4 on the box and is actual 1.1mm. What is the reason for painting jam last?
@full_metal2452
@full_metal2452 Жыл бұрын
@@jondoe4667 if you paint jamb first any overspray from jamb lands on main surface. That overspray causes irregular surface tension for the paint to land on when you transfer to main surface. Possibly effecting how it lays down or metallic/Pearl orientation. If you spray main surface first and then switch to jamb any overspray from jamb will land on an already wet bed/surface and melt in flawless. This comes into play even more so when spraying tri stage coats.

Why do companies want to sell you a different gun for every kind of paint? If you know what you're doing, you can do it all with 1 gun (plus a mini gun) and a few different tips/caps. Maybe I'll use a cheap gun for primer if i know I'm going to sand anyway.
@nicholash8021
@nicholash8021 Жыл бұрын
...paint is a fluid, and when it comes to spraying it, the only real factor is its viscosity. Viscosity is addressed by tip/cap size (including cap air hole size) and air pressure. You don't need multiple guns to achieve this.
