How to paint rain and fog - Acrylic painting tips and techniques w/ Lachri

Today I'm painting a very simple landscape to show you the basics of painting rain and fog. The techniques that I'm showing you can work with oil or acrylic paint. Then I will show you a clip of how I applied these techniques on an elephant painting!
I'm using Liquitex basics acrylic paint for these paintings and liquitex heavy body transparent mixing white for the fog. I'm working on a Fredrix watercolor canvas board for the landscape and a Fredrix Belgian Linen canvas for the elephants.
My reference photo for the elephants comes from Clare Smith over at pmp-art.com

Painting a scene from the horror video game Little Nightmares for one of my cousins for a holiday gift!! There’s a level with a really misty, rainy, and cold city environment, and I don’t have an airbrush so this helped so much!! Just wanted to thank you!!!!

Great video Lisa! Beautiful job on the elephants. Hubby loves his airbrush, that is what he started with 25+ years ago. Though he has evolved with how he paints, his airbrush is still a part of his process and no one can ever tell...lol! 😆 It is definitely worth the investment and time learning to do it right. Did you ever look into the holbein airbrush paints? Jason is using them more & more. 😉

It's a makeup brush I picked up from TJ Max. Just look for one with a long, light weight handle :)
