Hello Mark. I’ve been an amateur artist for years and I’ve only just recently tried to start oil painting. Your videos have literally changed my life with regards to this pursuit. I know that sounds overly dramatic but I had serious retina issues that left me blind a couple years ago and never thought I’d ever see again let alone paint. Wow, that is stunning work, and although I'm an acrylic painter, there is still, indeed so much to learn just by watching and listening. The techniques you describe are just as important in acrylic painting : values, color mixing, painting dark to light, etc. etc. The handling of the paint is the biggest difference as far as I can tell in oil vs. acrylic. Question? What do you do with all that paint that is still on your pallet? That's a lot of wasted paint?
