I have some extra tips as a painting and miniature hobbyist! -The technique you used to apply your base coat is called drybrushing. It's good for applying base-coats as shown, but it's also great for giving a textured look on top of paint, such as galaxy or mossy patterns. -A white base coat will make bright colors pop more, while a black base coat will make dark colors pop and requires more coats of lighter colors to show through the black. Spray-can versions of base-coat paints exist that will make the job quicker, but they are toxic and should only be applied outdoors by an adult. -Sealants are also a good idea if you want to play/film with your customs to keep the paint from flaking off. These come in paint-on and spray versions (same caution applies as spray paints), and in matte and glossy. Matte is good for basic areas, gloss is good for shiny spots like eyes, scales, beaks, and claws -USE THIN LAYERS! Using too much paint on one layer will NOT save you time, it results in globby paint that takes longer to dry and looks bad. You can add a couple drops of water to your paint if it comes out too thick. Make sure each layer is dry before painting more or you can make the paint clumpy

I think the only time I needed chunky paint was when I made a blind eye on my lps. Lucky me I had old white paint and it was just P.E.R.F.E.C.T.

Great video and solid advice but one thing i’m sure you do but forgot to mention: Paint in thin layers! i know it takes longer but if you want a custom with literally no brush stroke do about 4-7 thin layers instead of two opaque thick ones

Hey creaters here is a tip: So if you have trouble with shading LPS you can use pastels! I use Faber-Castel soft pastels but i think chalk pastels are good too? I havent tried those yet... Anyway they blend good so you can make gradients(if thats how you spell it😅) I used pastels and they worked pretty good to me! If you dont know what those are just search them on YT but they are something like chalk but if you want to buy these just dont buy oil pastels they are a whole difrent story
