If you're looking for an easy way to paint the stone base on your miniature, this tutorial will show you how. A lot of fantasy miniatures have a common motif in their design: rocks or cracked rocky terrain with posh backgrounds like forests and mountainsides! Here's all there is needed-a little skill and patience just enough so that it looks realistic without being difficult or slow (I promise).
In this video, I show you my basic workflow for painting a stone base (resin sculpt from Scibor miniatures) that looks great and is also perfect as the foundation for other effects. As an added bonus, I'll be showing how to paint a quick object source lighting (OSL) effect on top!
