Am I three years too late? Yes. Am I still thankful there a simple, comprehensive video for painting Sigmarines? Also yes.

I’ve just gotten into Warhammer and miniature painting. I have to say, you’re finished miniature is the best I’ve seen so far. Really well done.

Good shout on the Ushabti bone for the tabard. The suggested classic method colours on the box seem way off from the actual box art. This looks way better.

You're welcome! I try my best to bridge the gap between the basic block color painting and the high end, high skilled and time consuming paint jobs.

Hi! I love your videos! A suggestion: Seing how GW are going towards the simpler version of their painting tutorial (the last ones are very very simple) I think it would be great if you show some nice painting tutorials where you go in more in detail on how to make a nice quality paintjob! There is a gap to fill between the "ready to battle" and complex paint mixing tutorials that you have filled incredibly well in the past (as with kairos fateweaver). Just a random suggestion to help you fill a needed gap in the painting tutorial videos! Keep up with the fantastic work !!

I'm wondering why this Stormcast uses slightly different colours and technique to your Knight Questor from Warhammer Quest, they are the same race so why the change in choice of paints? In particular the final blue highlight. I also note that you use Lahmian Medium (which is not noted in the paints list, and Seraphim Sepia appears twice) quite a bit for the beige cloth but not at all on the blue cloth, and I think the blue cloth result suffers a bit for it. Great painting tutorials anyway, please keep making them!

Do you recommend using black primer before using retributor spray? Heard both work, but I just failed a retributor spray, having to strip it off since I did it in cold weather (ended thick)

Great tutorials as always. What brushes do you prefer to use? They look like Army Painter.

I used a mix for this video, I used the Army Painter regiment brush for the larger areas and then a mixture of GW and Windsor Newton Series 7 for the smaller bits.

Great tutorial as always, do you mix washes with lahmium medium, water or they are straight from pot?

I put them onto a wet palette first so they have a little water in them but not too much.

Great tutorial! Question: 1:27 - 1:55, that color looks very pale to be Kantor Blue. Was it just the lighting when you were filming, or did you do a mix? Or is it just me? Thanks for great content as always!
@PeteTheWargamer
@PeteTheWargamer 6 жыл бұрын
It was just watered down Kantor Blue. Over the bright gold it looks a lot lighter until you apply the second coat.

Love the tutorials man. Been following for a long ass time now. One question, have you messed around with the agrax gloss? Could it have shaded the recesses without dulling down the gold to much?
@PeteTheWargamer
@PeteTheWargamer 6 жыл бұрын
Using Agrax Gloss would result in a slightly darker result than what I have here but it would still be nice and bright compared to regular Agrax Earthshade.

Ryan Gibson you have the right idea. I use a custom gold wash of 1:3 reikland gloss and aggrax gloss).
@Kubrzesz
@Kubrzesz 6 жыл бұрын
Ryan Gibson the official vids have used reikland fleshshade gloss to give the gold a nice, warm, glow
@Kubrzesz
@Kubrzesz 6 жыл бұрын
Adrian Fuentes the gloss (from I understood the vids) is used when one want to tone down the gold, but still make it bright, while regular fleshshade is used to tone down the gold but then it makes it matte and good for highlight and layering. So in the nutshell, if you want it shaded but still bright go for the gloss, if just matte, go for the regular one

Question. Why are you using a black primer and then a gold primer? Isn't that redundant?
@PeteTheWargamer
@PeteTheWargamer 6 жыл бұрын
Two reasons, I don't rate the GW sprays priming ability. The black and white sprays are OK but I've had their coloured sprays rub off whilst painting before. So I prime with black first to prevent that. Secondly, having black in the deep recesses looks a lot better if you struggle to reach them with the gold spray or any subsequent layers of paint.

I'm trying so goddamn hard to follow this guide, but I CANNOT get the cream robes right. The Sepia changes the underlying colour too much, and the Ushabti Bone INSTANTLY dries on the brush and leaves horrible textured streaks. I DON'T UNDERSTAND. HOW ARE YOU DOING IT SO WELL

The paints are all actually watered down, it just looks like I'm applying them straight from the pot in the video ;)

Gonna be honest the painting standard isn’t what I’d have in mind for my own models, but I’m sure it’ll help a lot of other people. Nice video.
@PeteTheWargamer
@PeteTheWargamer 6 жыл бұрын
If you're looking for something a little quicker then just leave off the the highlight steps .The final miniature will be perfectly serviceable for the tabletop and would be a lot faster to paint.
@ryangibson7979
@ryangibson7979 6 жыл бұрын
The War Gamer think he is wanting a higher standard possibly with more blends then edge highlighting. Possibly on the cloak. But that’d take a time of time especially when I’ll have double stormcast from the set to paint.
@fictitiousfigurines1583
@fictitiousfigurines1583 6 жыл бұрын
Ryan Gibson This. It’s okay though you can just take these techniques and incorporate blending and stippling etc.
