Oven cleaner is an awesome cleaner. I use it on old vintage aluminium wheels I buy at swap meets. Cuts the time in half in getting them cleaned and polished.

Real nice work, thank you. I painted mine before I saw this and forgot to sand. 3 coats paint 3 coats clear. Still putting the motor together I hope the paint don’t come off with heat added. Your work is legit.

You can't beat speedokote products. I found them a few years back. Great job as always. I usually roll up small pieces of masking tape to put in threaded holes so that paint doesn't get in the threads.

Looks great man. I don’t know if you looked into it or not, but you don’t have to run that oil filler neck if you don’t want to. The cap will screw into the valve cover and give it a cleaner look. It’s how mine is done anyway. Keep up the good work man. I think you’ve really got it going on.

They turned out awsome... I have a set of new aluminum finned valve covers i bought new a year ago... I want to paint the inside of the fins yellow... But i need to figure out my intake. My wife bought me an aluminum high rise i need to put on durring winter. Been deciding on polishing to chrome, powdercoating or just paint... And i will have front clip off so i will recover headers and paint block...

I have never had good experiences painting stuff on motors especially it starts chipping and flaking really fast even with great prep. I drop anything on the motor I want color matched off a my powder coater it always holds up so much better
