This is a great example of why I love learning on YT, not only can you find instruction on what you want to do, in this case I was looking for 'painting waves with acrylics', but you can sometimes find someone doing almost exactly what you want to learn. I will be painting a mural of a seascape on a friends fish and chip shop next month, and I think I will actually break out the plastic for the full lesson on this dudes site. So remember: if you are several beers into an evening and are making promises for creative services you are only semi skilled in, always allow for at least a month to procrastinate and 3 days to practice before doing the job.

One of the most important aspects to learning any new skill is the understanding of function and relation to form. This gentleman understands the way waves function. He mentions coral. He describes currents after he describes how light plays a role beneath the waves and how both flow together as he forms what what we see here. It's clear to me that this wisdom aides him the recreation and the reinterpretation of what is arguably much more than a wave. This is a mural created by a young artistic craftsman.

I have been an artist since I could pick up a crayon and draw on a kitchen wall. As I I've grown up I have worked in all kinds of media's working on portraits and landscapes. I have never been able to paint seascapes. With todays technology I can now see how it's done, and Joe you have inspired me to give it another try at the age of 69. I was in Panama City Beach watching the waves come in and go out during the time hurricane Harvey was hitting Texas, so I was able to film some great wave pattern's, thanks again.

I've tried so many different art styles(clay modeling, stipple, portraits, oil paintings, stencils, tattooing, vinyl) and when I come across your work I just want to dive right into painting! You have so much positive feedback and tools to share its heart warming. I could praise you on your talent for hours, but your work speaks for itself. You're an amazing artist(to say the least) and anytime I need a good kick in the arse to become motivated I watch one of your videos. You're truly and inspiration and great teacher!
