Hi Please can you help me, I bought the new MAVIC MINI, i upgrade for the lastest firmware version 01.00.0400, in the controller and drone. And I tried to take-off for the first time with the Controller remote without DJI app or phone attached just for test. But unfortunately the propeller won't work with quick take off stick mode. Thanks Rick..waaaay late after the fact, but I DID just receive the A2S combo pkg 2 days ago. I KNOW now they’re paired from the factory but prior to receiving ‘them’ I wasn’t sure AND I knew that with DJI’s “Fly-Away” coverage AND REPLACEMENT they needed/ HAD to be binded. ‘Course I’ve already flown a couple times and all’s good. Thanks again…

I acquired a DJI Mavic Mini without the RC, so ordered a replacement remote. My phone isn't compatible with the Fly App, so I used your hardware method. I was able to bind the RC to the Drone. BUT: although the two now connect (the RC's power led lights are solid), the light on the drone flashes between Green and Red constantly. Would you know what the problem could be? Edit: Even with the flashing red, I was able to start props, take-off and hover and control drone. Sometimes the green light was flashing normally and sometimes the red light was also on. I'm a newbie, and I suppose I should watch some videos and get a compatible phone to run the DJI Fly App so I can figure out all the in and outs. Thanks Rick for getting me started, so I subbed. 😉

I ordered the Mini. It's my first drone, I've never flown one. I heard someone talk about geofence or something like that. Is this a feature that stops the drone from flying if it's too close to an airport? If so, does the Mini have this? Thanks.

I have something for you to research!! I believe the batteries are L-ion in the Mavic Mini a completely different animal in comparison to other batteries in M2P. Discharge rate Storage time Storage charge Minimum charge you can go down to. I'll leave it here. 👍 Ps I would imagine aeroplane operators will be happier with these type of batteries......been around for years and virtually every DSLR camera uses these batteries.

IMPORTANT INFO: If this doesn’t work. Take out SD card. I did and it linked automatically. When I put the sd card back in it would link. I replaced the card and everything works.

My question is: Do you put your phone on Flightmode when using it with the controller, to block off any incoming calls, or messages? Or does that matter at all?

Do you need to unbind before you bind? The reason I'm asking is because the video won't stream to my phone. The camera is fine and records but I can't see it as it's recording or just flying at all. I've seen other places that if you bind the mavic mini to the controller it should fix the problem.

At 2:20 when you hit the three dots, across the top you have "Shortcuts", "Safety", ... I don't have "Shortcuts". How do I get that or is that something that was on older versions of the app and was removed?

Great video, I just had a 20 min flyaway luckily it landed 50ft from my house after disappearing for 20 min 400ft high, I was lucky even though we wasn't connected I pressed find my drone beep & flash it still did that how I found it I went to the garage I heard faint beeping lol, would binding help with a situation like this losing connection, thanks also can I set my remote as home point I see a remote icon after pressing reset home point as I think I'd prefer that if it was an option, keen novice, thankyou 👍🏼🇬🇧
