In today's video I show how to parge, and core pour the block walls. I give lots of tips on techniques for parging and doing clean work. I also show how to set anchor bolts. This is the last video in the series of the foundation we laid. These videos were done in order to help show you our foundation process. I hope I helped you learn something. Thanks for watching these videos, I will be making a lot more series like this

Great work. Tip I learned over years when filling block with grout or concreteing the cores, cut a orange construction cone about 6 inches off the top and put bottom part of cone in core and use as a funnel for core filling. Less mess. Very efficient

get yourselves some hok boards. you should be able to plop enough mud on a 12 inch hok that each guy on the wall can get 6-8 good trowel fulls before needing to refill and then they wont need an extra person standing around just putting mud on everyone elses trowels.

Shit ... You guys rock, what a disappointment your not the norm of block layers. Just do this old man he favor, take care of your backs. You wear it down busting your hump and can end up like me with spinal stenosis which on the outside can be surgically treated but mine just so happens to be inside the spinal canal so the doc looks at me with a resistance to telling me, " there's no surgery or treatment and it always results in death." The fact is we all die but how we go makes a difference and guys, this shit is like a ice pick being thrust into you. Oh yeah, no prob, we can get in and out. I swear old Jimmy at 82 was the hardest worker I ever worked with. The stupid batcher drives out a load, delivers and drives off the road and Jimmy's yelling. This is lousy work. First, that's 100% not how to brown coat, scratch coat, first coat (or whatever else you want to call it) block walls, especially wet block. BTW, what's going over that first coat? Also, it looks like you've got loose rebar lying against the block cores and then jut dump concrete in the voids. The rebar should be somewhat centered in the void. Filling the cores about half way then putting the rebar in works well.
