I took the asvab about 9 months ago. It’s pretty easy if you paid attention in school. I didn’t really study and got a 92. My one piece of advice is make sure to take at least one practice test beforehand. Especially focus on the mechanical and electrical questions as you likely won’t have been taught it in school.

@@relaxhim1572 for me it wasn’t that bad. I’ve been wanting to for mental health and energy. The worst part for me was insomnia but I had that before I smoked weed. Hope it goes away.

Get rid of any weed you have left, any accessories (pipes, rolling trays, grinders, etc.), distance yourself from people who smoke. Excercise and drink gallons of water, stay consistent! Good luck!

Im going to a recruiter within a month. Im going for Navy EOD So i gotta study as much as i can to get the best grade possible for the job. Im taking time to relearn Arithmetic reasoning etc im fairly good with VE and GS and i did 4 years of Mechanics school so i should do just fine in that. But man its nerve racking

I’ve passed the PICAT with a overall in the high 50s my highest was mechanical with 71 and I feel good still nervous though and fear I may fail during meps.

If you take the PICAT at your recuiter you go to Meps and take the ASVAB or the verification test

I’m not 100% sure, since I never took the PICAT, but my friends that did said they went to MEPS , and still took the ASVAB too. All of them did better on the ASVAB too got some reason. I would ask my recruiter for info though.

Does anyone know the likelihood of getting disqualified at meps for have a hip and shoulder that pop but doesn’t affect your body whatsoever, like doesn’t affect mobility or range of motion it just has a pop and has been that way since forever

Any tips on what to study for mainly on the asvap practices. I am wanting to get into cyber security operations or something in cyber like your job. I just want to make the minimum to at least have those jobs available for me?

Check out these apps. The electronics portion is pretty important for cyber jobs. There is a computer information section. Does the Asvab test come before bmt?

Yes, after first talking to recruiter and deciding you want to join, you will go to Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS), where you will take your ASVAB test and physical exam. Once you complete these, you will eventually get your date to ship out to BMT. Check out my video “How to Pass Military MEPS and the ASVAB”. I talk more about the whole joining process there. My son put himself into Substance abuse rehab (not court ordered or because of any trouble) He went to recruiter and passed test and now we are filling out paperwork and then later MEPS. It asks if you have ever had a drug dependency or counseling for it. He was NOT hospitalized. He went to a local rehab because he realized he wants to change his life. He did ROTC in high-school. When he turned 18 is when the drug use started. I still dont know how he went from honors and ROTC to using drugs. He did have his step brother who died from Fentanyl and a friend who committed suicide. I don't know if this is why but either way he can't change his past. Any advice? He REALLY wants this and is completely sober.

Does your college transcript have to been Official? Do they accept unofficial transcript. I have unpaid balance with my college and they wont give me mu Official transcript. Im trying to get E3 rank.

I can understand that. I believe it should, but have you tried to submit an unofficial transcript to your recruiter already? It should be worth a try at least. They may have some advice on that too. I’ve heard some other people have run into your same situation.

Is there is a way to get E4 with bachelor master Eagle Scout ?

As an Eagle Scout, you can enlist as an E-2. If you also did JROTC, you can sign as an E-3. If you have at least 20 college credits, you can sign as E-2. If you have 45 or more college credits, you can sign as an E-3. E-3 is the highest rank you can jump ahead to enlist as in the Air Force.

Your ASVAB score should still stand throughout your entire enlistment process. You should always have the option to retake the exam to improve your score. You can take the test two times every six months.

Let me get this straight: even if you take the PICAT with your recruiter (and get your score), you still have to take the ASVAB? If so, why? Doesn’t the PICATtake the place of the ASVAB?

No, after you pass the Picat you will be sent to the place to take a verification test. They do that to see if you cheated or not and if you fail the verification test you will have to take the actual asvab test .
