Thank you for the tips! I am a DCP alumni applying for the summer program. My first program didn't have phone interviews, so this video helped me calm some nerves. My interview is tomorrow, and I am so excited!

Also have heard that for summer alumni they just ask a lot about your previous program so it’ll be easy to talk about all the fun you had!

hi ivy! i'm really nervous about my phone interview tomorrow with them...if i may ask, what subjects did you write on all of your notecards? i know you have stories written down, rankings, your skills and such, but i'm curious as to what all topics you made notecards for and if they were helpful in your interview. thanks for your info/help, it definitely gave me somewhat of an idea to expect!

Hey there! You’ll be perfectly fine, they’re super nice! But it is nerve wracking. I did find that my notecards were helpful, they aren’t meant to be used as a script so I found it helpful to just write little snippets of stories that would bring my mind back to them. For example, I would write a short bit about a time I helped an upset customer so if they ask me that question I can look down at my notecard and know what to say. I would just maybe think about the topics I say in my video and make notecards with little bits about that. I hope this makes sense! Just be yourself and don’t script it, they just want to get to know you! :)
