I am aware that I am posting this during coronavirus times, however EPIK has not said anything about stopping the recruitment of teachers for the Fall 2020 intake so this can still be helpful to them in a timely manner. It’s also intended for future applicants to the program long after the virus has settled. Also, I shouldn’t have to make this disclaimer but the Kpop was just an example because I remember people in my intake freaking out about mentioning it or not and let's face it, most people encounter Korean culture through some form of Hallyu.

Hey, I'm 3 years late, but I want to thank you so much for this video! I have my EPIK interview in a few days and I was definitely guilty of breaking tip #2 😂 I've gone through all the possible questions MORE than once and I feel prepared, so I'm going to stop while I'm ahead lol! The most important thing is to stay true to myself and link everything back to the position! Thanks for the very necessary reminder Kay!! 😊😊

Got an interview in a few days and this was quite helpful. Realized I don’t have to stress myself, I guess I’ll just be myself and hope for the best. Thumbs up! 😉

The Musing Girl SA Thanks, it actually went well. Got questions that were extremely different from the KZfaq vids I’ve been watching but regardless I managed to pass the interview.

Marwah Hey, the interview went quite well. Had some hard questioned but managed to ace them and I passed.

Marwah I was asked to present a section of the lesson plan, I was asked about the kinds of technology I would implement in the classroom, and how I would cope with learners that have different learning abilities

Hey. Loved the video. How many interviewers are going to be there and will they be korean too?
@TheMusingGirlSA3 жыл бұрын
Just one and they might not be Korean. Some of the EPIK employees are foreign

Thank you. What topic/theme can you suggest one do for the demo lesson? That will make rgem stand out.

Hmm more than suggesting something specific I’d stick to something simple and basic and teach it very well. They’re less concerned with WHAT you teach and more concerned with HOW you teach it. So even if you’re teaching a simple phrase like “what do you do?” “I’m a fireman” just focus on being clear.

Hi does accent matter during the interview?
@TheMusingGirlSA3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it matters in the interview but most schools prefer if you teach American pronunciation. Depends on the school though
