Here's how to pay your fare on ION light rail using an EasyGO fare card, a UPass or cash, credit or debit.

If you have a monthly pass on an easygo card you can just get on the train, it still checks out when the fare inspectors check your fare. Saves you all of three seconds

This does not show how to use the fare card with the kiosk for when the toll poles at the ends of the platform are down.

How does grt know that someone paid to get on it? Not like someone sees each person getting on. I'm sure people can just walk on and not even be paying.

There will be random inspections once on board, by fare inspectors (transit security). If you're found on a train without having paid there's a $240 fine.

@@taylortbb really. I stood at grh waiting for bus and saw 4 people cross from.the hospital walk right pass the card scanner and get on train. So I guess I dont need to pay for a pass if I decide to take train instead of bus. Hmm

@@LedZepUltimateFanPage The inspections are on the train, not before boarding. Randomly a train will have inspectors on it, and between stations they'll go end to end and check every person. You'd probably get away with not paying 95% of the time, but that 5% you'll get the $240 fine (up to $5000 for repeat offence).

@@taylortbb i made mistake got on the train for free but it was a booboo like lucky friendly bus driver help me out like train cops are scary not type fuck with just saying
