I have a 2007 Nissan Altima 3.5 and this helped me determine the ipdm is needing replacement thank you!

There’s another thing. 1- Put the key on accessories 2- Hold trip reset for 3-5 secs 3- Turn the key to ON while still holding. (Don’t start the engine until odo display changes). - And then you’ll see all cluster lights come on. Press reset button, it’ll do analog gauges test, press again something else will show etc... - You can have digital speedo, digital RPM, Coolant Temp, and many things I still don’t know 😅

Its call an IPDM/ER self test. Intelligent Power Distribution Module/Engine Room, it works on all Nissans from the early 2000's all the way through the current models unless it is a push button vehicle that you dont have to push the push to start button twice. Saying if you push, the push to start only once with your foot off the brake and everything powers up and if you push it again everything powers down... those vehicles it will not work on. If you can push the push to start button once with your foot off the brakes and the vehicle only partially turns on then you push the button again it fully turns on with your foot off the brake (vehicle still not starting) . Then the third press of the button turns everything off like you just shut off your vehicle.... those vehicles it will work on.

I am a mech and just replaced the entire a/c system. couldnt get the comp to kick on. been testig for a couple of hours. nowhere in alldata does it say to test ipdm. after doing test ac clucth was clicking. couldnt do it with scan tool. could get 12v at harness. after this test tho it started working. guess the relay was hosed up. thnaks again

It works on my nissan Elgrand E51 3.5ltr series 1 2002 also on my 3.5ltr series 3 2008. All Though the horn and wipers are not tested on series 1, and the horn on my series 3 not tested but wipers are.

It would be nice if it tested the break lights and turn sig. also.

OT- I have a 2007 pathfinder 4x4, first start in morning here in Texas it cranks and then after 5-10 seconds it sounds like it’s gonna die (never does though), and after driving it it is weak for first couple of minutes. The rest of the day- no problems. History- replaced thermostat and fan clutch (2 months ago)and negative pressure test for water pump or gasket damage. Ideas or thoughts?

Great video. This test worked perfectly on my 2006 Nissan Xterra. My cooling fan comes on each time with the auto active test, but I can't get it to turn on with engine on and set to max A/C. It blows warm so I'm not sure if the problem lies with the fan or the compressor itself. All fuses and relays look fine. Does anyone have any ideas how to test the compressor? Thanks.

Try it on a 2005 Nissan Titan King cab 4 wheel drive and it worked just fine

It sounds like my ac clutch is engaging, but I'm having warm air at best and an odd smell (almost like natural gas additive) if I run my ac. Coolant leak? I also struggle with really poor acceleration from a stop and I hope that both issues could be solved with a new IPDM in my 2007 Nissan Versa. Thanks for the vid!

I have a 2007 nissan xterra it started to develop this vibration underneath only in drive and reverse and only when I'm at a stop. And my idle gets quite low at a dead stop Changed the motor an transmission mounts and still the same. I also noticed when I turn the AC on I noticed my idle goes up. Any suggestions would help thank you.

Nissan Dealership indicated my IPDM was bad since it would not charge my Battery. They want $1500 but I found a new one for $350. If I run this test, what should I look for to see if the IPDM is charging the battery? It does not hold a charge and they changed the Alternator, Tested the Harness and ruled it all out. So all is left they said was the IPDM. FYI 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5L

Hi. This worked on a 2013 nissan Micra (March) K13. No Horn sounds but it is working . No front wipers worked . Front Wipers are my issue , it's why I'm here . But cannot find the issue. 30a Fuse is fine under the bonnet as is all other fuses. Unfortunately I cannot find a wiper relay (if there even is one !)
