Man being able to pick locks has really opened alot of doors for me

I’m going to steal everyone’s lock Not their stuff, just the lock

This was a skill I learned as a kid. I was given a locked box on the premise that I had to get it open. It took me about 2 hours to pick it, I did not know how useful the skill would prove at the time. As an adult I rarely worry about losing keys, picks can be made from darn near anything. And If I cant pick it, a can of freon and a punch will make quick work of it.

Important to note that there is a trade-off between the methods. Raking is quite easy, and decently quick, but it can result in side-loading the pins, leading to lock degradation after repeated attempts. Picking them individually is slower and takes more skill, but it only uses vertical pressure on the pins, meaning that if it's done right, there should be no damage whatsoever to any lock. Both of them are fine for practice locks, but I'd recommend the latter for if you are trying to enter your house after losing the keys. also, keep an eye out for spool pins and other defensive mechanisms, as they can lead to a false set and require you to reset the lock. It can take quite a bit of finesse, but definitely possible.

Pro Tip: When you make the pick, the tip of the wire should be bent so it curves upward slightly. This makes it easier to work individual pins.

I can open the clear one in just a few seconds. However, I bought an ACE lock for $10 to do real testing. As I thought, the ACE lock is wildly better at resisting whatever lame thing I'm trying to do. After a day, I managed opening my Ace lock 4 times that evening. I let it sit a day, you guys make this look so damn easy.

This actually worked. The key to our locker was lost. Saves me the effort instead of breaking it open...

Wow, thank you, I watched your video, and afterwards was able to make the tools and remove a lock off one of my wife’s handbags. It’s been on there for years!

I tried this for the heck of it, and it's actually easier to me than using my pick set. Plus, it's a relief to not have to worry about bending a tension wrench since I can just make another. I've found that wrapping the handles in electrical tape makes the picks and wrench more durable and easier to handle, but still works great without. Tension wrench works a lot better if you twist the handle of it, as well.

You still have to be able to run fast with a TV.

A friend recently gave me a suitcase and two brand new locks. When I went to lock the main section I found that there was a small, older padlock already on one of the tabs I need to put my new lock through.
