Just what I was looking for, Justin. Saw thumbnail of this tutorial the other day (while looking for something else) and when we decided to layer videos through shapes, I thought "Hey, I know where to get that!" I've subscribed.

This is an amazing tutorial so taking noting away Frm Justin but just a heads up if you try this and find that the shape used is shifted or out of sorts even after you align it check to make sure you're sequence settings are corresponding. I initially used a 720 so it didn't work properly and I didn't realize until after much trouble shooting so save yourself the time and use a 1920 x 1080. Good luck!

Very helpful. I've done this before and used it in a current project, but had weird ghosting of the shape or line or whatever was in the PSD file I created. But only when I used THIS method did it work properly--using white instead of black for the shape and most importantly the File/New Photoshop File menu option was brand new to me! So Thanks!

great this helps! the only thing I can't figure out is how to move the video inside the shape, without moving the shape with it. I want to use this to reframe some footage, but I can't seem to make it work..

Justin, a request for a video: How do you tackle the background music choice for videos (like in vlogs or whatever). Something that matches the scene, is free, etc. I find myself browsing SoundCloud forever to find that perfect clip. I end up wasting lots of time on this.
