Can I suggest (if this hasnt been done already) that you do an identical video to this one but instead on focussing tourism in Manhattan I would love a video on all of the tourist things to do in each of the other boroughs. Very concisely done and in particular like the optionality you present for all the observatories! I personally like criss-crossing day trips (e.g. WTC --> Morningside Heights --> Chinatown --> UWS --> Elmhurst back to Manhattan), but it's refreshing to see a "do it all at once" approach

Thanks for summing up lots of great highlights of NYC, and making me feeling validated as I didn't realized I've done pretty well over the years being a NJ/PA resident. In May I did exactly the entire Brooklyn Bridge itinerary. And just last week I did the Citi Bike from LIC to Central Park and spent 3 hours at The Met (The Battle of Versailles fashion exhibit was amazing). I appreciate your channel!

If you happen to be nearby, Koreatown is fun to checkout. It really is just concentrated in one or two blocks. If you're a carnivore, Korean BBQ is where it's at. I also like the origami holiday tree the AMNH puts out every year.

A very fact filled, concise video. It's been years, but I have walked from the City Hall area, up to 42nd Street, but not always in a straight line. That was a workout. Hung out a lot in Washington Square Park/Astor Pl/St Marks Pl area, with a stopover at McSorley's. It was quite a day.

So glad I stumbled on your channel. Great video! This will help plan my trip in November - the week of the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade (my son's high school band got invited to be part of the parade). I'm searching the best way to view the parade as close as I can be to Macy where the band will be performing. Any tips is appreciated.

Their is a lot to do in nYC and you could spend 3 days exploring it if you wanted but I’dont leave ny penn station when I go into the city because of increasing crimes unfortunately but I can imagine and play it

I was looking at doing something similar but over several trips, and staying at different hotels in each area. The financial district is also convenient for the ferry to Staten Island, particularly the outlet malls there. This gives the alternative of different hotels and more local walking.

Staying at different hotels sounds like a good idea if you don't mind moving. It's nice to be out late and just be a few steps from your hotel room.

@@UrbanCaffeine I did have a plan to stay for a couple of nights in each hotel before moving to the next area. This meant you could try some expensive hotels without it blowing your budget, but was planning on flying in with just a first night planned and then use last minute booking sites like hotel tonight to reduce the costs.

It’s the problem with someone that lives in the suburbs, as much as you’d love to crash in the city, you’re really only about an hour away from home so it’s hard to justify the hotel expense. I’d love to stay overnight in midtown once… but every time push comes to shove I can’t part with the $300/night at a place like the Marriott Marquis. I’d love to leave an evening show and grab a late night snack, go to a hotel, have a couple of drinks and go to bed. BTW - Staten Island has outlet malls? That’s a new one on me.

Hey there. It will depend on how much energy you have and how long you spend at certain places. For example, some people can spend the whole day at the World Trade Center and others just pass through for 30 minutes then move on. If you want to see everything, it's all about time management.

I think the airport bookstores or news stands might be selling maps. I use the map on an app called Citymapper.

Just get it on the web in advance or use an app. It’s always good to know where you are.. so you have an idea of how much longer it’s going to take to where you need to be. Now all they need to do is list places with public bathrooms..almost always an issue.

Tales from a Lyft driver 2022 edition. Lyft is way more expensive then you think. A young musilm man who drove for Lyft was telling me how he had to pay a extra fee for being able to pray five times a day. Another older Muslim man told me how he oicked up a Africa family from Washington DC at 8:30am and he drove them to Northern Pennsylvania he got back home from this very long distance at 10:30pm. He told how he only got paid 81.00 dollars. But he had to paid 50.00 dollars to fill up his gasoline tank. So after subtracting taxes from his profits he only made 15.00 dollars. Another story someone who worked for Lyft told me about was how Lyft would run ads to hire more drivers by telling them if they completed 160 rides within a 30 day period Lyft would promise the new driver 3300.00 for that month. Which is 825.00 a week. But that was a total lie. He made 600.00 the first week. The second week he was paid 824.00. Then he made 650.00 the third week. The fourth week he was only paid 400.00 dollars. He had way more then 160 rides by this time. It was over 200 rides. But Lyft didn't paid him his 3300.00 as promised and he asked his Lyft Coach about it he told him he was taking to much time doing his rides. He told him and myself too. That the Lyft GPS system was giving him the wrong information so he would have which to Waye GPS system. One time he was driving a person 50 miles to MGM Resort and Lyft's GPS frozen up at 30 miles. And the person riding in the back sit had to use his own personal Apple I Phone to put in the address of the MGM Resort to finish the ride for Lfyt. This is a well know problem with persons who use Lyft very often. I would say 75 out of 100 persons knew about this problem. This was done on purpose so Lyft could charge It's users more money. Like a ride that's probably should be 25.00 dollars end up being 45.00 dollars. Or Lyft's GPS system uses a older and longer route that costs the riders sometimes triple in the costs. The Lyft Company uses the Independent Contractor excuse as a way for the Lyft Company not to pay taxes on the persons it hires to work for them. And it forces the persons that Lyft Company hires to pay their own taxes. The IRS has 3 simple rules that tells the difference between a real Independent Contractor Vs a Employee. 1. Who controls how you get paid. If you are not in 100% Control of how you get paid. You are not an Independent Contractor and are a Employee and legally the Lyft Company should be taking out State and Federal Taxes and FICA,etc. Do you drive a Lyft Company car or your using your own car if it's your own car you're not a Independent Contractor and you're a Employee. You get mine point and for more information about the different between a Employee vs an Independent Contractor go to IRS. Gov And put the search bar "Independent Contractor vs Employee". The Lyft Company is using the Independent Contractor scam so it doesn't have to pay any taxes. In the not to far future the TAXMAaka IRS is coming for its tax money and fines.
