Something I didn't mention...Don't let the grass grow up through them. Put some cardboard or something down around them to suppress grass and weeds.

Nice video. Learn something every day. I planted a bunch of seed across several acres at the beginning of winter, but, they didn't make it, so I needed some help. Subbed, liked, black belled. Us little channels have to stick together, lol.

Be sure to prevent grass from growing up through the vines, or they will die from disease.

@@branchesinthyme9070 Thank you for the advice! The vines are big, do need some weeding, but I'm wondering if I planted them too late for Massachusetts and missed some sort of pollination window? There's no evidence of fruit coming any time soon and it's mid August.

Keep the root zone cool but the leaves need a lot of sun to grow good size fruit.
