Plasterboard adhesive is what you want for wonky walls, gives you much more play than expanding foam. And sod lifting fireboard when not really needed.

Yes indeed! I've managed to get quite a bit done in the last 2-3 weeks as I've had some gardening leave between jobs. I start on the 1st of Nov and I suspect I'll be getting very little done around the place once I start 😂🤞

Yeah, I agree - it feels really odd now, having it as an internal wall with stairs on it!

Wy not remove the window? And nicely brick it up

It's an internal wall, so not really any need to do so. It just creates more work, and the window won't be seen anyway.

@@ELGee1 I don't disagree with you, there's certainly no harm in bricking the opening up, but it's no different from a stud wall. Still solid work, and you save on time and expense. Really, the best option would be to demolish the entire wall, and rebuild it to be plumb, but is it worth the effort?

Was BCO ok with that timber holding up the lintel and the wall above? It’s load bearing. Good transition for into the extension it’s worked out well 👍🏻

Yes BCO was happy as long as I wrapped it in fireboard. Given it's a 12x3" timber it is insanely strong, so they were comfortable with it 👍
