The tool can be so frustrating, what I found was that it will work one second, then as soon as you try do the exact same thing again, it suddenly won’t work 🙄 not sure if you’ve seen it already, but part two walks through a whole bunch of troubleshooting and what to do if you encounter any problems using the tool. Hope they help, and look forward to seeing what you do with platforms!

That explains why one minuet I think I got it all figured out and then I turn around and all of a sudden can’t figure it out again!! You wouldn’t happen to know what to do when you place an item / wall, delete it & got to replace it or place something else but it tells you it can’t because there’s something in the way when there isn’t would you? I have tried bulldozing the lot (not always ideal) and even that doesn’t allow me to build in that same spot again! 😩 Edit: forgot to tag @Simsational_Builds

So we can’t apply wallpapers to platforms, but they do have different finishes sort of like we can change the appearance of a foundation. When you bring up the menu for walls etc, on the left you have the buttons to build walls (the platform tool is in there) then under it half walls, and half wall trims - under that is a button that looks like a platform, and there are the different finishes. Hope that makes sense!

Yes it makes sense, unfortunately I believe windows and doors will always sit on the higher platform/level… I haven’t found a way around it myself 😬

Oh I’m so sorry, as a PC player I’ve only ever played on the computer and wouldn’t have a clue on the controls for console! Hope you find out soon. ☺️

Sorry for the late reply... there are no mods used for this tutorial, for the platforms themselves, once you place one and select it, you can use the arrows to lower it if you wish, otherwise going underground just uses the basement tool in build mode :)

While it's definitely a cute idea, I do agree that it kind of distracts from the tutorial as it doesn't really add anything besides character to the video. I think it doesn't help that the animation is just looping. However, your tutorial was very helpful so thanks a lot!
