Күн бұрынI'm back with a fresh, hot-of-the-press kind of arrival - Dinosaur Island: Rawr'n'Write from Pandasaurus Games. This game was picked up as a part of the Dinosaur World kickstarter campaign last year and now here it is on my table and here I am explaining the rules.

I set this up tonight for the solo variant then just sat staring at the manual and couldn't understand it at all, was going to pack it away but after watching this video and your Solo playthrough I went straight back and finished my first play with no problem at all. Many thanks for the help here I really enjoyed the game and your videos.

You're a very good teacher! I bought this game because of you. I enjoy it very much. I hope you'd make more HOW-TO-PLAY VIDEOS especially for solo play.

Yes it is - it's quite compact, quick to set up and tear down and the rules are beginner-friendly. There is a lot of replayability inside, too. :-)

Great video! The volume was very low. Just something to consider if it is fixable or for future videos. I was watching this in a bar with noise canceling headphones on, but could still barely hear it. So it is audible, but just not in a loud environment. In any case, still a great explanation video. Well done!

thanks - I changed the audio gear since then - alas I had no time to record anything new since new year due to health/work issues, but I am gearing up to get back to it. There is a stockpile of games waiting to be filmed

Can’t thank you enough for putting this together. As for avoiding ‘expert’ cards for first time setup, Is it that bad for first time players from your perspective?

Hey. Thanks for the kind word :) as for your question: depends on the level of experience of the players. If they are fairly na to board games, I would remove the cards. If they know their stuff, those cards and their abilities can make the game and scoring more interesting. Some of the abilities are just a tad more complex for low level players :)

You should of had 6 dice not 5

How do you figure? I am discussing an example for a 2-player game and the rulebook mentions I should have 5 dice in a 2-player game :-) or am I missing something regarding your comment?

@@ronpaulaxberg5244 Yes, and as you can see in the video in the Solo Rules section I am rolling 6 dice in the start - the bot takes 2 of them and you draft from the remaining ones as per normal rules :-) is there anything wrong with that?

@@ronpaulaxberg5244 at 9:44 in this video I am mentioning that the rules are explained for a 2-player game - the solo explanation has its own chapter much later on
