How to play Apple Music from within the Sonos app - play without having to switch between two different apps - this is how to do it.
Advantages of playing music from within the Sonos app - The music will continue to play even if your device leaves the house, or if the battery goes flat, and receiving a phone call won’t interrupt the music. You can also pick up another device and control from there as it will automatically be in sync.

Yo tony. Do you have any advice on how How to play your library from the new app. I don't use streaming services

Hi, yes it looks as if they have removed the local library from the new app - for the time being. There is a rumour that the function will make a return later this month. Let’s hope so! In the meantime you should be able to access your local library by using the desktop app on your computer. If you don’t have it you can download from sonos.com from the Support tab. Another option is to use Plex if you have your music on a NAS. If you have your music on the Apple Music app (iTunes) on your iPhone, you can AirPlay direct to the speaker, so long as it’s a more recent AirPlay compatible Sonos speaker.

@@TechWithTonyAustralia i am using plex, then accessing plex with the sonos app. We have had alot of storms lately, and this method does not work without internet. But i went with sonos because of the library feature

Sonos have confirmed the Local Music Library feature will return in an update this month. Great news 👍

@@TechWithTonyAustralia It looks like they were wrong. It's two months later and it looks like I still don't see a way to to stream directly from the Sonos app on the iPhone to the Sonos speakers. I also am unable to add the music folder on my Mac to Sonos. I get error number 1002.
