Wow! You’ve always got something wonderful to share. Mentioning your karate teachers 13th chord and describing them as a ‘country’ or ‘city’ or ‘mix’ is a way that I’ve never heard music described but it seems so inherently logical. I just stumbled on to this video .. I've watched it 6 times .. I've been playing guitar for many years especially the blues .. the progression thru the major, 7th and into the mystery chord .. lol .. is absolutely the best instructional process and explanation I've seen over decades .. Tomo great teacher shows how to play chord-melody blues, in an understandable way, to get technique you have to listen to blues and play what you feel, without feeling a groove won't move, feeling is first in blues, in all music really. Tomo makes guitar fun.

What a wealth of knowledge and great teaching style, you make it so fun and easy to follow your lessons, been playing by ear for too long,now it's time to learn the notes on the fret board, going to make a chart of the fretboard with all the notes and hang it on the wall in front of me, for way too long I ignored the importance of knowing what I'm playing, even if I can survive in a cover band playing cords.

I love your channel so much. I have been a member of Guitar Wisdom for 2 months now, and in 2 months I have learned way way more then I have in the last 2 years trying to teach myself. I think this is kinda like the Bb blues lesson on Guitar Wisdom that I have been watching for a few weeks. I love how Guitar Wisdom videos can be used for 1 day or for years. The different levels in the videos are a very nice touch. Even after all of the stuff I have learned so far the most important lesson for me has been NO WORRIES! I am still working on it a little every day and having more fun then I ever have with guitar, Thank you so much for making such an awesome website. You are the first teacher I have ever clicked with, I tried 3 others first but for one reason or another I just understand you more then any of the others I have tried. I am so glad I didn't give up on finding a good teacher.

Thank you, Tomo, lovely stuff as always. You did invite requests (oops!), so here is mine. You mentioned today the late Peter Green. For me, Peter at his best was untouchable. He could find the most lyrical beauty, often in relatively simple phrases, and his choices always seemed to be so coherent and 'right'. Perhaps you could say something about that, and illustrate how each choice can make or break a whole song. Thank you!

Layla is pretty easy to play, but to get the intro with the right feel is very difficult. Give it a shot, probably in the top 10 best intro's ever/

Agreed. he should stick with jazz.just because you know the notes doesn't mean you can play blues. Blues comes from the soul. If you cant feel it you cant play it

This is the most important video of the year, circa 2021. This is how you put the pieces together. You realize immediately where you're weak. I'll use myself as an example, shell chords. I don't know that many. Bottom line is, playing by yourself is going to make you better. Edit: Physical strength comes into play as well, especially on the acoustic. It's a ton of barring, and if you're not used to doing that, you will feel it.
