Here is a drum lesson of Metallica's Enter Sandman
This is arguably Metallica's most popular song. We have done our best to make this lesson beginner friendly so everyone can learn something. Give us a thumbs up if this helps you out.

The equipment we use:
Drums: The drum kit I am playing here on this video is a Mapex Orion. Its a 6 piece drum kit. Tom sizes 10, 12, 14 and 16.
Cymbals: The cymbals are all Zildjian: A series...
Moongel: I am a fan of moongel on all the drums. It dampens the sound and makes it more punchy... If you have a problem with overtones, definitely give it a try...
Microphones: I use Audix microphones
Bass Drum Pedal: The pedal used here is an Axis longboard.
Recording Software: Cubase Elements 10

Hi, great lesson and video, but i feel like when you finish a certain part of the song you should play it all together, the intro for example.

Great lesson, helped a lot. Just on the original I do not hear kick drum played at 6:02. It does sound good with it.

Hey DD, Great lesson! However it seems like there's something missing. The sheet gets me through the first half of the song but towards the end it seems like there are some other beats and fills that are missing. For instance I think there's section with 4 crashes. I'm a beginner so my ears aren't very well trained yet. Maybe I'm just not applying the sections to the song correctly?

Hi Jody... Thanks and great to hear from you... Yes, I guess you are correct... With this lesson we didn't do through the entire song... We went through The intro, the verse, The Pre chorus and the Chorus... However, there are some extensions to these and also there is a bridge and an outro... Sometimes with some of the lessons we do here we go through the main parts and don't catch every single note through the entire song. Thus, this was one of those lessons. I apologies if this was a problem for this lesson. We will take this feedback into future lessons.

Nice beat, great to play during quarantine! I'll be posting some Metallica like beats like in '83, you ever listen to the album by Metallica "Kill 'Em All"? You might like it, it's pretty fast, and gets you pumped up!

Hi Tomas... When many drummers play the Left foot on the High Hat on the count 1,2,3,4 its more to keep time during either beats or fills... Many times you wont see this transcribed on the written beats... In fact, its really an optional thing. Many of the students I teach dont add this part to their playing until much later on...

Cant put credit card number in with dates etc it overrides and then declined card. For sheet music
