Hello my Kawaii-Fam!! Today I'm showing you how to map keyboard switches so you can play Genshin Impact or ANY game on your ipad with a keyboard and mouse.
It doesn't matter what keyboard you map your switches on, once your switches are mapped you can use any keyboard and they’ll work the recipe, just take note that if you're using a full size keeb to map switches and use a smaller keeb later, you may lose some switches depending on where you mapped them lol
-so for this I'm using my KNEWKEY chic typewriter keyboard in wireless mode, and my COO bluetooth mouse to keep everything minimal and wire-free. You can have multiple recipes stored on your ipad for different games, but keep in mind that you can't re-use a switch in another recipe ie.
If: w=⬆️ in your Genshin recipe, you can't map w as ⬆️ in another recipe, it will say switch already in use…

NOTES IN VIDEO
-need some kind of tape
-need your keyboard and a stylus if you have one
-open Genshin impact (or whatever game you're mapping switches for)
-place tape markers on the buttons in the game that you want controlled on the keyboard
-go to settings
-accessibility
-switch control
-add new
-external
-tap the switch/key
-label it
-set to tap
-add new and repeat for every button you wish to map on your keyboard
-switch control
-recipes
-create new recipe
-assign
-choose switch
-hold at point
-touch the tape marker to map that switch
-repeat for all remaining switches in the recipe list
-when done, make sure to set what recipe is launched when switch control is turned on
-turn on switch control before you play
-turn off switch control when you're done

W- up
A- left
D- right
S- down
E- sprint
Spcbar- jump
F- attk 1
Q- E skill
C- E burst
1- first character
2- second character
3- third character
R- collect/cook
T- map
G- inventory
Ctrl- chat/quit

for anyone who cant turn it on, i had the same problem, turn off assistive touch and then it should work, also you cant press multiple buttons at once, so you should use the mouse to move where you want to and just hold the w key until they make that better

@@tooluuke7638 hm, is the thing that lets you see where you touch on? you might have not put them in the right spot. that or your ipad isnt connected to your keyboard at all

*OP, please consider pinning for help* ! To move camera via keyboard: Create switch and select custom gesture. mice your finger in the direction your setting it for and save. ie: I have a switch named "Camera Down," so I set the switch as the down arrow on my keyboard and swiped my finger downwards on screen for the custom gesture. Repeat this for up, left, right... ! To get rid of blue box while using switch control: Go to accessibility Go to scanning style Select manual scanning

@@AMETAent unfortunately the only workaround for that is by trying to drag your finger for custom gestures as far as possible /: i also got sick of that and just resorted to using my ps controller for now

When I turn on switch control it says that external switch is not found, I use a wired keyboard and it’s works fine but my mouse doesn’t really work that well with the game but works when switch control is turned off would it work if I got a wireless keyboard ?

Didnt knew it is little bit taxing but can be played with this setup Since this is not fully supported by the game unless we will use a controller But man this is cheaper lets say you have pc too you can use your kb and mouse there too unlike controller If anyone know cheaper controller and reliable that works with genshin or any games alike which is not a double edge sword i dont want to get banned just for ease of playing in ipad :3

Is there a possibilty to press two keys at the same time without one of them not reacting? Its kind of sad that I cant even sprint, because when I press "w" to run and then want to sprint with "shift", "w" wont react at the same time, even tho I still press it down.

unfortunately for now no, multi touch is not a feature for switch controls, there is a way to hold a sprint by quick pressing walk,sprint walk though! it can be a bit tricky but it’s the only way I know how to work around that hiccup

If you like to use sprint, you just need to prees key for "sprint" and next, at the end of "sprint" animation press key "forward". Then your character start to sprint, but this doesn't work with swimming.

The switch is reflected in the direction the mouse is pointing. If I turn off the mouse, it works fine, but then I can't move the viewpoint. Why is this?

I tired to do this with roblox doors, but it isn’t working. My assertive touch is off, and my full keyboard access was already off. I even have it at manual scanning. All that happens is a bunch of blue lines, and such

hii, so if u cant turn on switch control, make sure ur assistive touch is off, to turn on switch control, try to triple click ur power on button, it should work now.
