Really great how-to-play video. After watching these 2 videos (+ doing a bit of Rulebook referencing) I was able to get going quite quickly without actually reading the entire thing. Ultimately I’ll get to the whole book as I play along, but I love videos like this that get me knowing the basics really fast-so I can get onto more fun tasks-like getting to know the strategies of my hero’s cards. Great stuff

Great video. The rulebook is gnarly and can be intimidating. I bought the game, perused the rulebook, but after watching this video, I feel like I can play the game and teach it to friends. Might just take 20 mins and have the whole group watch this before our first session.

Pursuant to monster initiative value index 3, subsection 6, article 2.2, a monster is considered "active" when any party, or parties, or any related entities acting on the part of a party or parties, with applicable permissions, draws a card with a net value range of 2, as determined by the second player clockwise from the Start Position, chosen during setup by referring to the appropriate column in the Moon Phase chart, depending on the day of the month play began, and counting backward by inverse square, unless at least 1 - but no more than 3 - party members, Anointed Companions, or Hirelings with a Primal value of 6 or less, counted as two-thirds of the number of players when the ratio of male to female players exceeds half the monetary resale value of socks in the household, not counting pets, ends his or her or their turn on an Opposite tile, in which case all players must return one item to the discard pile, or the Wandering Merchant, whichever is closest to the nearest electrical household appliance, before calculating initiative starting at value index 3 subsection 7, article 1.0 and proceeding through article 47.2, using the character count of each third verb on the indicated page of Rush Limbaugh's "The Way Things Ought To Be" (Pocket Books, 1992) if purchased before opening Gloomhaven, but before punching out tile markers, or after opening Gloomhaven and punching out all tiles, if any female player is named "Margaret".

Great rule video! You have a good pace, lots of these move either too fast to be practical or drag on to ad Absurdium giving too much detail. Feel like I'd be ready to try the barrows now, with more confidence and less time spent than if I'd read the book

Quick Summons rule question: If I summon an ally, I know I can’t use him till the following round. However, what about his taking damage, In other words, is my summons there to absorb damage immediately or is that the following round too?

Hi there! Recently I've bought that game with my friends and really looking forward to play it! Although I'm born deaf and I have tried to follow that video with automatic subtitles of youtube itself. But as everyone know it, it is not really good/perfect (yet). So I'm wondering, can someone or you (Gaming Rules!) help me and maybe the rest of deaf/hard of hearing people with adding (english) subtitles, please? It would help me to understand the mechanic of the game itself for sure! (and it will make for me easier to read the 52 pages rulebook ;) )So, pretty please? :)
