I’ve owned this album since the day it was released but anyone hear a little bit of America’s Horse with no name? It’s not bad just never heard it until now.
@RyanLendt4 жыл бұрын
isn't it the same two chords - Em - D/F#?
@davidhooper2594 жыл бұрын
Ryan Lendt Thanks for the reply. I saw a few tabs charts show that America’s song is Em with D6/9 for the verse and Em9 and Dmaj9 in the chorus. Clearly different strum patterns and goes to show that having a limitless understanding of theory and chord structures is great but not necessary for vastly different songs
@Suspect3332 жыл бұрын
Seether has a live cover but I think it's Dsus2 instead of D with an F in the bass.

@timesink89476 жыл бұрын
C9 includes the b7 (true of any chord value 9 and above, C9, C11, C13, etc). Cadd9 just adds the 9, no b7. So C9 would be x32330 compared to Cadd9 which is x32030.
@RyanLendt6 жыл бұрын
You sir are the great redeemer of the day! Thank you Timesink for that clarification
@MrCrapheadist5 жыл бұрын
I choose to believe that’s what the song is about. It all just fits in a vague way. That’s the beautiful thing about music and art in general. It could mean something different to anyone depending on their perspective.

the chord change happens on an up beat - you can make it an up strum or a down strum. without looking into it, i'm guessing Eddie makes it a down, because that's what he usually does :)

I refrain from using the word "better" when it comes to art. I prefer Jerry in some contexts, but Mike in more contexts. Jerry loves to augment and flatten fifths, sometimes I'm in the mood for that. Mike doesn't never do that but usually shys away from such a thing. for example :)
