The M.U.G.E.N control layout is like this A B C X Y Z START X,Y, and Z represent Light Medium and Heavy attacks while A is to summon your stand.B and C are more like character specific attacks and START is to Taunt. For example If im using keyboard controls. If I wanted U to be my stand key I'd set U to A. And if I wanted J, K, and L to be my Light, Medium, and Heavy attacks I'd set J to X, K to Y, and L to Z. This is an example of my keyboard controls: A = U B = I C = O X = J Y = K Z = L START = Enter Controls can be set like this in the options menu of your mugen game, but they can be set to whatever you want and for any controller/Key.

After doing DOWN,BACK press B and hold it

The command is either FORWARD,DOWN FORWARD,A or DOWN,DOWN,DOWN,X+Y

U can get mugen on many different sites , but keep in mind there's no main mugens : mugen 1.b1 and M.U.G.E.N 1.0 . Mugen 1.0 is the old one but it has the most amount of characters u can download for , while mugen 1.b1 is the new one with updated graphics. I have both but I use mugen 1.0 more since many characters won't work on the newer versions. Also keep in mind characters made for the newer version may not work on the older versions and vice versa. I would highly advice u watch a yt video on how to get mugen , they will probably link the sites somewhere. It it doesn't work make sure u did everything correctly according to the video and look more into it to make sure there isn't anything missing.

You can change them to whatever you want. The default layout is A B C X Y Z START But you can map any key/button to any of these. For example you can map the U key to A or the I key to B. The choice is yours.

You select your character with the U key, but if you press the I,O,J,K,or L keys you get different skins

@@Damaylor ok I downloaded mugen, but for some reason I can't paste my character files into the "select" code in "data". My characters won't work unless I put them there

The .DEF file has to be the same exact name as the name you put in select

@@Damaylor yh thx I figured out that some character versions are outdated so it doesn't work on mugen 1.1. Although I'm still struggling to find any good websites that have the character folders . Mugenarchive was down for me for some reason , so could you enlighten me on any good websites for downloading characters?
