Playing Komal Swaras in Bansuri is a nightmare for many of the beginner Bansuri (Indian Bamboo Flute) students. They develop a fear of playing the notes incorrectly and this fear never allows them to actually try and overcome this self-created fear. This tutorial will give beginner Bansuri students a complete insight on how to overcome this fear and provide a step-by-step guide in how to play the Komal Swaras correctly in Bansuri.

Thank you Guruji 🙏🏻🎯✅ 🎯✅ Guruji , Can you please make a video on how to read the music notes. For eg: Your notes itself. There are lines over the notations, there are lines below the notations connecting two notes. How to implement that in flute. How to understand it guruji ??? I have a book on Hindustani music. Upto Alankaras , it was quite easy to understand. But from Raagas, there were more lines , arches connecting two notes, and it became difficult to understand the notes. Can you please guide us in decoding the notes of Ragas and understand them. 🙏🏻 - Thank you in Anticipation.

I have a D bass bansuri and the komal dha in the lower octave is the hardest note to reach by far. I noticed too the more length the bansuri, more hard is this note. In my F bass bansuri i play all komal swaras perfect

That suggest your D Bansuri is too large for your fingers. a skilled flute maker (for e.g. Anubodh) can make a D bass with finger spacing that makes all the holes more easily reachable.

Yes! It is very much possible. The foundation of Hindustani classical music is based on 22 shrutis. It is used in all the instruments including Bansuri. Ye seekhni hai to aap ko personally aa ke seekhni padegi. KZfaq se jaankari mil sakti hai. Bajana nehin hoga. You can search Dr. Vidyadhar Oak ji’s demonstration on 22 shrutis to start with.

@@HimanshuNanda Sir First of all thank you so much for your valuable reply.I saw all the videos of our respected researcher Dr. Vidyadhar Oak.I understood clearly the positions of 22 shrutis from his 22 Shruti app also but when I am going to play them in my flute I can't manipulate them and bacome more confusing. Can I learn this subject from your courses?If not then I request you plz guide me about this technique personally or through KZfaq because I can't meet you face to face. I am living in Baksara,Howrah and above all I can't affroad any of your fees due to my very poor financial condition but I don't want to compromise with my dream of playing Bansuri and also make you as my Guruji. So plz help me as much as possible from your end. Thank you Sir......

@@sataddrumukherjee9013 - To understand and apply Shrutis in Raga music, it requires at least 10 -12 years of Sadhana under the guidance of a learned teacher.
