"Love Story" is the lead single by
Taylor Swift off of the country-pop phenomenon's sophomore record, Fearless, released in 2008. The single helped to catapult the record to the number one chart spot in its opening week, breaking sales records for the year and landing Swift into album of the year at the Grammys.
The song "Love Story" polled in as Swift's most successful single at that point, selling nearly seven million copies to go with her climbing success. The lyrics play off the Shakespeare literature reference relating back to her personal life, having a love interest that is not supported by her peers.
The song opens with a banjo picking pattern before entering the verse. The song uses four chords throughout most of the song until the final chorus. It then offers a change from key of D to key of E at the last chorus, incorporating a few new chords to the song.
"Love Story" uses the following song form:

@Lizzygirl36 For the Barre chords, look at her finger instead of the chords printed on the screen 6:58 , she only use 3 fingers(The 1st, 3rd and 4th finger) and she only struming 3 strings(The 5th, 4th and 3rd string). Another thing is that you don't have to press your 1st finger over all the strings. All you have to do is press the 5th string and strum the 5th, 4th, and 3rd string or if too hard to put all 3 fingers there, jus put 2, and strum the 5th and 4th string. hope it helps

You can play the verse 1 (we were both young....summer air) with D G Bm G, and the second part of the verse ( see the lights....did i know) with D G Bm A. Verse 2 (so I sneak out....for a little while) with D G Bm A, and I believe the "romeo save me...just say yes" part is same as the chorus...at least that's how I play it :p. Hope this helped :)

@DangerxMagnett 1st finger(index) barring all 6 strings on 2nd fret. That means it presses all l6 strings down. Then 2nd finger on 2nd string 3rd fret and 3rd and 4th finger on 4th fret on D and G string.

I finally figured it out! But it was frustrating. Do this: Index finger in the 3rd fret on string 5, middle finger in 4th fret on string 3, and ring finger also in 4th fret on string 4. It sounds exactly like what she's playing.

i think its easier if you capo 2nd fret all the way to the 5th string and leave the high E open. then follow the picking for C, Am, F, G or smthing like tht :)

Great tutorial! Although I noticed that the chord diagrams for the B major barre chord and Cm barre chord are both pictures of how to play F (6:10) and it looks like you're playing Bm, not B?

@EkoFriendXbox Diamonds and Xs already got answered for ya, but as for your hands... if your right handed you strum with your right and finger the chords with your left. Unless someone specifically teaches a strum pattern you strum to the beat of the song, you can feel it. Strumming also mirrors the drums... google strum patterns. Alot of popular music uses common strum patterns, usually they are represented by D's and U's for Down and Up ( D D DUDU UD DUDU for example)

you messed up writing out the chords for the ending chorus. You have your third finger on the third 4th string and the 4th finger on the third string. I got confused when i was playing it cause it didn't come out right then i realized your picture on the bottom and the fingering weren't the same. just thought you should know :D overall i learned it in an instant with your help this was a great video and thumbs up!!! :D

@MsLZ1993 They're not. In the B Barre chord you strum all the chords and the barring finger is covering all the chords. The B Minor is only covering the 5 on down and the top string is muted.
